William J. Williams, MD
Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
William J. Williams, MD is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and has been with Boulder Orthopedics since 1984. His special interests are arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, and ankle, as well as total joint replacement of the shoulder hip and knee. Dr. Williams favors conservative treatments whenever possible but operates when necessary. His kind spirit, lovely manner, and sincere interest put his patients at ease.
Dr. Williams earned his Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis and University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, SD. He completed his Internship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis and his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver.
Dr. Williams is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Williams is a member of the Western Orthopedic Association, American Medical Association, Colorado Orthopedic Society, and Delegate and Past President of the Boulder County Medical Society.
Dr. Williams serves as a Team Doctor for Nederland High School. He has served as a Medical Doctor in the past for many rock concerts, boxing matches, and athletic events. Dr. Williams enjoys relaxing with his wife, running with his dog, and riding his motorcycle. He enjoys hiking, water-skiing, sailing, kayaking, and fishing. His favorite winter sports are cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, ice hockey, and snowmobiling, as well as reading by a warm fire. A world traveler, Dr. Williams loves meeting and getting to know people of all cultures.
