Korinne O’Rourke, CPI

Korinne O’Rourke, CPI is a Certified Pilates Instructor.  Korinne completed The Pilates Center of Boulder Teaching Training Program in 2004 and earned a Bachelor Degree in Dance with a focus on dance performance and choreography, from the University of Colorado.  She brings enthusiasm and creativity along with a great understanding of body mechanics to every one of her sessions.

Korinne begin her movement studies at a young age through exploring various forms of dance. In 1996, she was introduced to Pilates as a powerful system of movement and a great supplement to her dance training. After dancing and performing for many years with chronic hip pain, she participated in rehabilitative Pilates as a way to return her body to full health. This convinced her of the value of Pilates as a rehabilitative program. She continues investigating the potential of Pilates for her clients as well as for herself.

Korinne believes that Pilates is a perfect fit at Boulder Orthopedics & Boulder Orthopedics Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. The Pilates programs that she designs are developed individually and specifically for each person. The goals of Korinne’s Pilates programs are to reduce pain, increase strength and mobility, and create an overall body awareness.
